A guided walk around Castletown will take place on Thursday at 2pm.
Curated by Jude Dicken, ‘History in Heels’ tells the story of the women of the ancient capital.
Stories include Lady Buchan, who helped establish a girls’ school in Castletown, and her connection to Napoleon Bonaparte.
Ticketholders will meet at the entrance to Castle Rushen.
Part of a year-long project, ‘History in Heels’ celebrates remarkable island women and their stories, and the centenary of the Women’s Institute.
Tickets cost £6 and are available from the Manx Museum Gallery Shop and www.manxnationalheritage.im
