Gymns beat fellow relegation battlers Marown to move out of Premier League’s drop zone
GYMNS moved out of the Canada Life Premier League’s relegation zone with a 2-0 win over bottom side Marown this afternoon.
Two goals in the game’s last five minutes from Luke Fisher and Jamie Corrin secured the Tromode outfit the win that puts them on the road to top-flight safety and almost certainly condemns their opponents to the second tier next season.
Gymns’ place in the bottom two is taken up by Ramsey who lost 5-1 to St Mary’s, while at the top there were big wins for leaders St George’s and Laxey.
In JCK Division Two long-time leaders Michael suffered a shock 3-4 defeat at the hands of Braddan. Fellow promotion chasers Colby also dropped points at Douglas Athletic drawing 1-1, while RYCOB move top after beating Pulrose 3-0.
