This week’s Team of the Week is a Paddy Power FA Cup special, featuring those that impressed in Saturday’s quarter-final ties.

There was plenty of goals and no shortage of drama across the weekend’s four games.

Extra time was required to decide the all-Premier League affair between Union Mills and RYCOB at Garey Mooar.

Three of the triumphant Mills team make it into the latest line-up starting with goalkeeper Christian Cellamare.

The former St George’s, Corinthians and Braddan stopper produced several fine saves as 2012 finalists Mills won 4-2 to book their place in this weekend’s semi-final draw.

Also impressing in that contest were Cellamare’s club-mates Will Miller and Lee Christian.

The latter proved the tie’s match-winner netting a hat-trick after coming off the bench in the 55th minute, while Miller shone at the back for Alistair Beattie’s men.

Joining Miller in the the hypothetical XI’s back four are Julian Ringham (St George’s), Andrew Crennell (Peel) and Laxey youngster Jake Garvey.

Ringham was one of the holders’ stand-out players as they brushed aside Division Two Douglas Royal 13-0 at Ballafletcher. The full-back was given the opportunity to push forward against the second-tier outfit, creating several goalscoring opportunities for his team-mates.

Crennell helped the westerners to keep a clean sheet as they beat Ayre United 4-0 at Douglas Road, while teenage left-back Garvey was one of the Miners’ top performers as they edged past Division Two Malew 3-2.

Two others whose performances caught the eye in that match were Laxey’s Fraser Vaughan and Malew’s Michael Wheeler.

Midfield maestro Vaughan was on the scoresheet as the Glen Road side narrowly avoided a cup shock.

Wheeler was the man that sparked Malew’s hopes of a cup-set when he gave the southerners an unlikely lead against his former club. Despite a second goal from Jordan Krypner, Laxey’s Sean Gavin ended Malew’s cup run when he struck the game’s decisive goal.

Slotting in alongside Vaughan and Wheeler in midfield are St George’s duo Conor Doyle and Ryan Kelly.

Fresh from a trial at Blackpool FC, Conor Doyle netted five goals during the rout, while Kelly scored twice and won a penalty against his former side.

Up top Mills’ targetman Christian is joined by Peel’s Ashley Webster who was on target in the Sunset City side’s victory over Ayre.

Referee honours go to Chris Dycher (Mills v Ayre).
