Valkyrs A secure Premier Division title

Wi-Manx Mixed Premier Division

PARAGON Valkyrs A emerged victorious from their match with IOMA Group Bacchas A to claim the Wi-Manx Mixed Premier Division Title on Saturday afternoon.

In a close match, a second half penalty flick conversion from Greg Miller saw the westerners home.

The same player had earlier opened the scoring for Valkyrs with Jamie Brown netting the only goal for Bacchas.

Manx Telecom Vikings A secured third place in the division with a 4-1 victory over Celton Manx Celts.

Having suffered defeat to Celts earlier in the season Vikings were determined to claim revenge. Sven Lindeque opened the scoring for Celts before Vikings fought back.

Unfortunately, no details of the Vikings scorers were received.

Fearless Saracens Sabres claimed their first victory of the season over CM Skye Ramsey A, but it wasn’t enough to prevent their relegation.

Steve Cottier led the way for Saracens, netting a hat-trick, with Steve Jackson adding a fourth. Ramsey replied through Matt Grice and Matt Robertson with two.

IOMA Group Bacchas B ended their season with a 3-2 victory over Paragon Valkyrs B. Alex Bell netted all three goals for Bacchas, with Ashley Hall and Rebecca Pate replying for the westerners.

Wi-Manx Mixed Division One

Manx Telecom Vikings B claimed their 10th straight victory of the season with a 4-0 victory over IOMA Group Bacchas Colts to remain unbeaten for the season.

Mark Dougherty hit two goals for Vikings while Ieuan Williams and Ian Perry added single strikes.

The points were shared between Celton Manx Cammags and Manx Telecom Vikings C. Paul Wiseman gave Cammags the lead before Christian Davis replied for Vikings.

Sarah Cringle restored Vikings’ lead before Jan Carney drew the sides level again. Wiseman added his second, which looked to have sealed the points for Cammags, but Davis struck his second to end the tie level.

Celton Manx Cushags secured a 3-0 victory over Manx Telecom Vikings D.

Iain Wrigley opened the scoring for Cushags, with Amy Dawson and Graeme Brown adding further goals as Anthony Cooke’s Cushags side claimed both points.

Honours ended even between HQ Harlequins A and Paragon Valkyrs C. Ali Middleton found the net for Harlequins with Chris Thomas scoring for Valkyrs.

Wi-Manx Mixed Division Two

IOMA Group Bacchas C claimed the Wi-Manx Mixed Division Two title as they emerged victorious from their must-win match with CM Skye Ravens.

Tony Bentley-Roberts scored a brace for Bacchas, with Ashley Sandyford-Sykes adding a further goal. Finn Cain and Iain Wood replied for Ravens.

CM Skye Rookies emerged victorious from their match with Paragon Valkyrs D. Goals from Sadhbh O’Shea and Myles Dempsey ensured both points for the northerners.

Celton Manx Southerners claimed the bragging rights in the southern derby with Celton Manx Cosney. Mike Taylor led the way for Southerners with two goals, Paul Harris adding a third.

HQ Harlequins B added to their points’ tally with a 4-1 victory over Fearless Saracens Sharks. David Smith and Sandra Wrigley scored two goals apiece for Harlequins, with Nikita Gicquel replying for Saracens.

Wi-Manx Under 16 Mixed League

Celton Manx Castletown continued their good run of form with a 6-0 victory over Paragon Valkyrs.

Harry Brindle led the way for Castletown, netting on four occasions. He was joined on the scoresheet by Marcus Clague with two.

Manx Telecom Vikings claimed a 2-1 victory over IOMA Group Bacchas. Andy Ashbridge and Melissa Bell found the net for Vikings with Tom Evans scoring for Bacchas.

CM Skye Rascals emerged victorious from their match with CM Skye Rogues. Sam Robertson and Max Renton both netted two goals apiece with Monique Lloyd-Davies adding a further goal.
