A MAJOR exhibition of 60 TT images from the Getty Images archive, first shown in London, is now on display at the Civic Centre in Castletown.
The images cover more than 100 years of TT racing and there are also 30 photographs covering the Southern 100’s 57-year history.
They include legendary TT heroes such as Stanley Woods, Geoff Duke, Giacomo Agostini and Mike Hailwood, as well as more recent greats including David Jefferies, Steve Hislop and Joey Dunlop. There is also Bob McIntyre’s first 100mph lap, when the TT included motorcar racing as part of the fledgling European motor racing circuit and the first motorcycle TT in 1907.
The Civic Centre is open from 9am to 5pm during the week except for Thursday afternoons and from 9.30am to 12.30pm on Saturday.
