The PokerStars Senior TT has been red-flagged.
An incident at the 11th milestone - near Cronk-y-Voddy - forced the blue riband race to be halted during the second lap of the six-lap race.
At the time of the red flag, Ian Hutchinson had been leading the race by 1.783 seconds from John McGuinness in second and Michael Dunlop in third.
The clerk of the course has confirmed that the race will be restarted and held over four laps. The race is expected to get back underway at 2.45pm.
The rider involved in the incident at the 11th milestone was Ballyclare’s Jamie Hamilton who was airlifted to Noble’s Hospital. Hamilton was later reported to have sustained serious but non life-threatening injuries.
