The total number of burglaries being investigated in the latest crimewave is 39.

Inspector Derek Flint said the weekend had not seen any new domestic burglaries.

He said the total tally stands at 39 now that some offences that had taken place earlier in the week have been identified.

There was a burglary on a commercial premises in Ramsey in the early hours of Saturday, as we reported {http://www.iomtoday.co.im/news/isle-of-man-news/someone-must-know-who-is-responsible-for-burglaries-1-7069544|here.}

Inspector Flint said: ‘It is important that people continue with their vigilance and remain security conscious.

‘When criminals know that a community is actively contributing to both the investigation and the prevention of offences, they are less likely to commit offences.

‘We’d like to thank the public for their work, and to keep the information flowing.’
