POLICE are investigating a fight which broke out in Laxey on Saturday during the Big Wheel Blues Festival period, which left a man needing hospital treatment for head and upper body injuries.
The incident, involving a number of men and women, took place at the Snaefell Mountain Railway crossing on New Road at about 11pm.
Following the assault, the man was admitted to Noble’s Hospital and was discharged the next day.
A police spokesman said he was making a ‘good recovery’.
Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
Police are particularly keen to speak with a motorist who had to stop as the incident spilled out into the road.

Secretary of the festival committee Pete Christian said the incident was not connected with the festival
