RAMSEY Angling Club’s annual three-day competition will take place May 16-19, sponsored by the Isle of Man Department of Community, Culture and Leisure.

With a guaranteed £1,000 for the overall winner, the event offers the chance to compete against some of the best match anglers in the island for big prizes.

Over £6,500 was paid out during last year’s event, with Mark Corlett collecting over £1,500 for winning the festival for the second time.

The event commences on Wednesday, May 16, with the draw for pegs and the first night of competition at Point West between 7-11pm.

The action moves to the Dogmills for Thursday evening’s fishing, taking place at the same time.

The final day’s contest will take place on Manx Match between 2.30-6.30pm, where fortunes can be won or lost.

Cash prizes will be awarded for the top ten overall, the top three in zones and four pools per day.

The final date for entries is Sunday, May 13 and cost £45 for the three-day event, which includes all pools.
