Manx Cancer Help will be holding a recruitment day for volunteers next Saturday, January 24.
Anyone wishing to become involved is invited to attend the event at the Lisa Lowe Centre in Tromode.
In the past year, the charity has benefitted from help with bucket collections, bag packing and dog walking as well as assistance with its annual ball.
Chief executive officer Andrea Chambers said: ‘Because the treatment of cancer is becoming more effective, more people in the island are living with cancer, which means we are seeing and supporting an increasing number whose lives have been affected by a diagnosis. We rely on our community, businesses and individuals. Manx Cancer Help prides itself on having a fabulous friendly team and we invite you to become part of it.’
The open day will take place between 11am and 3pm, for people of all ages, and will include an informal chat over tea, coffee and cake.
