Last year was once again another good one for members competing off-island. On a fantastic day at Area 4 eventing at Cumwhinton, Lauren Bellamy won the intermediate class and qualified for the championships at Cholmondeley in August.

The novice team A won and qualified for the novice championships at Kelsall with both Danni Callin and Abby Corlett both winning their arenas and finished on their fantastic dressage scores.

Novice team B finished fifth - a great result as only three ran as unfortunately Misty Islas horse cut herself and needed veterinary attention. Lori Moreton finished fifth, while Karrie Bridson ran as an individual and also finished fifth.

Abi Turner-Drewry represented the club at the Novice Area Showjumping. The novice eventing A team competed at the championships and came fifth overall and fourth T&T. Lauren Bellamy was a real credit to the club when she competed in the intermediate eventing at the championships at Cholmondeley Castle.

Blae Richardson competed at the Area Tetrathlon at Ettington in Warwickshire. In the minimus girls class she finished a marvellous seventh with the best swim and a personal best shoot.

Members are reminded that the next event will be a rally at Conrhenny on Saturday, January 24.

The instructor for seniors will be Suzanne Corlett and Michelle Hargreaves will instruct the Garran Beg members. For further information on Pony Club in the Isle of Man visist www.iomponyclub.com
