Island centre-back Johnny Myers is hoping the experience of two previous FA Inter-League Cup finals will give the Manx an edge when they play the Hertfordshire Senior County League in Saturday’s latest final at the Bowl.
‘It’s a big plus. You can’t buy experience, especially at this level and we’ve got four or five players that have played in both the previous two times we’ve have reached the final and that’s an advantage we’ve got over Herts.’
‘The boys were really disappointed after the 2012 final and that feeling of getting beat in the last minute will hopefully drive us on to take the victory.’ Added the St George’s man.
