Air pollution levels on the island are now ‘moderate’ a Department of Health statement has said.
The statement says: ‘This changes the medical advice slightly in that adults and children with lung problems and adults with heart problems, who experience symptoms, should still reduce strenuous physical activity, especially outdoors.
‘However for the general population there are no restrictions and they can enjoy your usual outdoor activities unimpeded.’
This comes after ‘very high’ readings were reported on Thursday, thought to be due to dust blown over from the Sahara Desert.
