Ramsey take on Dukinfield

RAMSEY are currently seven points clear of the South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Two relegation zone but desperately need four points or better from their clash with Dukinfield this weekend.

Nearest rivals Trentham have a very winnable home game against struggling Oldershaw so Ramsey need to maintain that gap as the season reaches its business end.

The Manx side’s defence has been simply immense in the last few games. Vagabonds were met by wave after wave of tacklers last Saturday and the beating of Oswestry at the Mooragh Park has set a marker down for the other clubs.

There are no reported injuries in the Ramsey camp after last week’s bruising encounter.

Second row Will Wren was replaced late in the game but he should be fine for this week.

There is no news of leading try scorer Ali Trace who has a broken jaw and will most likely be sidelined until after Easter at the earliest.

Ramsey lost the away tie 29-12 and are unlikely to lose the home one. It may be close, however, as Dukinfield are no pushovers.
