The UN flag will fly in Peel tomorrow (Friday) for the 2013 UN Association Model Security Council.
Nearly 30 sixth-formers from the island’s schools will meet at Queen Elizabeth II High School to try to negotiate a resolution against the use of child soldiers by armies. It was something they failed to do in November 2012, losing by one vote.
Each participant represents one of the 15 UN Security Council member nations, role playing either an ambassador or counsellor. Pictured are students at last year’s event, held at King William’s College.
