FIREFIGHTERS had to break into a burning house to rescue the two occupants this morning.
The two householders woke up to find the house smoke logged.
Firefighters arrived at the house, in Bradda Road, Port Erin, to find they were still trapped.
After breaking into the home, firefighters escorted the occupants outside into the fresh air.
The cause of the fire was traced to the oil boiler in the lounger.
One of the occupants was taken to Noble’s Hospital for treatment, while the other was checked by paramedics at the scene.
