400m time tumbles at Birmingham event on Saturday
SPRINTER Harriet Pryke claimed her second Manx indoor record in as many weeks in Birmingham on Saturday.
Harriet was racing at the National Indoor Arena, where, in the last 30 metres of her 400m race she stormed past opponent GB athlete Kim Wall to win her heat in yet another personal best time and new Isle of Man indoor record of 55.10 secs.
Last weekend Pryke competed in the senior 400m at the London Indoor Games at Lee Valley Athletics Centre, finishing second in her race, in a new indoor personal best time and Manx record of 55.55 sec. This broke her own indoor record of 55.74 set last February in Sheffield.
Harriet is delighted with her progression so far this indoor season and is looking foward to this weekend’s UK Indoor Track and Field Championships in Sheffield.
