MARK Cavendish is the subject of a documentary to be screened on Sky Sports this evening (Monday).
The Manx cycling star, who became Britain’s first winner of the green jersey at the Tour de France in July and was crowned World Road Race Champion in September, will be the focus of Sky Sports’ latest special report focussing on different sportsmen and women each week.
During the programme, to be shown at 7.30pm, Cav talks about his impending move to Team Sky following the collapse of his current team, HTC-Columbia.
He also chats about his chances in next year’s London Olympics when he has the opportunity to become the first GB medalist of the Games, as well as touching on the controversial subject of drugs in the sport of cycling and why Team Sky can win both the yellow and green jerseys at next year’s Tour de France.
l The Manx Missile remains the favourite to be crowned BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
The live awards’ show takes place at Salford Quays in Manchester on Thursday, December 22, starting 8pm.
