Southern Nomads all but clinch Manx Shield with win over Castletown
THERE were big wins for Douglas and Southern Nomads in this afternoon’s rugby.
The former beating fellow South Lancashire and Cheshire Division Two promotion rivals Liverpool Collegiate 31-12 in a game switched to Ballafletcher because of the weather.
At Poulsom Park Southern Nomads saw off a battling Castletown 5-48 to all but clinch the Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield. In the day’s other game Vagabonds B beat Ramsey B 23-53 in a high-scoring affair at Mooragh Park.
