Ramsey aim to bounce back

AFTER another heavy defeat away from home, Ramsey aim to get back to winning ways as Ormskirk visit Mooragh Park for the first time this Saturday in South Lancashire and Cheshire Division Two.

It was a much depleted squad which travelled to Oswestry last Saturday and the northerners will hope to welcome back the likes of Craig Long, John F. Watling, Lance Wyllie, Conor Cracknell and the Pritchard brothers, none of who were able to play at all last weekend.

There should be one or two from the second team in contention too with Mark Oldfield in particularly hot form against Emerging Nomads. However, Davide Mazzone’s side will probably still be without longer term casualties Max Singer and Rory Nicholson which will necessitate a few changes in the forwards.

Ormskirk didn’t have a good start to the season losing their opening game away at Douglas. They have, however, bounced back a little and have clawed their way up to third place in the standings. They were on top form last weekend too, thrashing Oldershaw 55-8, but they have lost two from three on the road and Ramsey are more than capable of pulling of a surprise win on their own turf.
