A NEW marketing manager has been appointed at Isle of Man Post Office.
Mairead Magill joins the business having previously been responsible for marketing at the Bank of Ireland and relocates from Dublin.
Over recent years Isle of Man Post Office has adopted a very forward-thinking and innovative approach to business and how it can sustain its future in this rapidly changing world of communication.
Its introduced a variety of new services including its first ever digital mail service, ePostbox, using augmented reality on a stamp issue as well offering the latest in digital postal services.
TARGET MARKETS
All these innovations coupled with the traditional core services a post office offers means there’s certainly a lot to promote to target markets.
Mairead was attracted to the role because of the variety of service the business demands through marketing.
She said: ‘The role is a very exciting challenge for me.
‘The innovative approach to new product development together with marketing the traditional role a post office has will make a very interesting mix.’
Having spent more than 10 years working in a fast-paced marketing environment, Mairead is well equipped to deal with the rapid changes the developments a postal environment can bring.
She said: ‘I worked in the financial industry throughout the economic crisis and believe that the skills needed to adapt marketing plans to a changing industry will help me to manage my new role. I am looking forward to learning about a new industry, new products and a very diverse client base.’
Mairead brings a wealth of experience to the position and has particular experience in digital marketing, event management, marketing communications and new product promotion. She also has a proven track record of launching new corporate websites.
