A motorcyclist suffered a broken leg after being hit by a driver turning right from Ballaquayle Road into Woodbourne Road, a court was told .
The driver, 75-year-old Hazel Joyce Bain, of Lord Street, Douglas, was waiting for a gap to turn right but failed to see the red Honda CG125 as it headed up the road towards her from the Broadway direction.
She told the police she felt something hit her car but did not realise exactly what had happened until she got out. She admitted causing serious injury by careless driving. The accident happened just after 6pm on February 12.
She was bailed to her home address on a £500 recognisance for a pre-sentence report, pending sentencing which takes place on September 13.
