PDMS Southern Nomads beat Douglas B 31-18 at the Mooragh Park on Saturday to retain the Manx Trophy title.
Two early tries from Jacob Callow, one of which was converted by Mark Young, gave Nomads a flying start.
Liam Kirkpatrick pulled one back for Douglas, before Callow’s hat-trick try restored the lead. Mark Shortland dived in for Douglas just before the break to leave the Nomads lead 19-10 at half-time.
Max Morley-Green kicked a penalty early in the second half to further reduce Nomads’ lead and when James Creasey wriggled over the line Douglas were within a point at 19-18.
Late tries from man of the match Conor Stephens and Harry Catlow however closed the game out for Nomads.
