SALARIES bands of Manx Radio staff were revealed in Tynwald.
In a written reply to a question from Peter Karran (Lib Van. Onchan), Treasury Minister Eddie Teare said four individuals at the national broadcaster earned more than £45,000, nine earned between £30-45,000 and 14 staff members earned under £30,000.
Mr Teare pointed out that an internal audit report on the public broadcasting subvention, which was laid before last week’s Tynwald, concluded that employee remuneration, freelance fees and pay awards did not appear excessive and were comparable to civil service pay scales.
