THERE’S an opportunity to find out about the role of the Royal Air Force this month.
The Isle of Man Junior Chamber of Commerce will receive a presentation from ‘The RAF Presentation Team 2012’ on Friday in aid of Help For Heroes.
Now in their 33rd year, the RAF Presentation Team travel around the UK outlining the role of the Royal Air Force, not only in Britain but across the globe. They work with the purpose of showing what the Royal Air Force is, what it does, how it’s done and what it achieves. The RAF, when formed in 1918, played a vital role in the defence of the Great Britain. More recently the RAF has made a valuable contribution to Britain’s interests overseas such as providing support to ground forces in Afghanistan.
Fridays’s presentation to members of the Junior Chamber of Commerce will be lead by Squadron Leader Elaine Smith, Flight Lieutenant Ali Morton and Master Aircrew Gareth Attridge. This formal, black-tie dinner at The Palace Hotel, Douglas, will provide attendees with an interesting and topical presentation based on operational experiences. Following the presentation there will be an opportunity to put questions directly to the speakers. The evening will start with drinks followed by the presentation and concluding with a dinner.
It costs £45 for non-members, for more information phone Cameron Halsall on 682508 or 462839.
