A four-goal salvo from St George’s striker Ciaran McNulty sees him spearhead the latest Isle of Man Newspapers’ Team of the Week.

The Geordies frontman’s haul helped the reigning top-flight champions beat hosts Laxey 9-0 and secured him his fifth Team of the Week call-up of the season.

Up front the in-form McNuly is paired with Peel striker Ashley Webster and Rushen’s summer signing Jamie Johnston. Webster netted a hat-trick for Peel as the westerners triumphed 6-1 at Union Mills, while Johnston was on the scoresheet as the Spaniards racked up their third successive 5-0 win, this time at Ayre.

The four-man midfield is populated by players from four different clubs.Isle of Man FA manager Nick Hurt produced a man of the match performance to help inspire St Mary’s to their first win in five games. The Bowl outfit triumphed 2-1 at bottom side RYCOB thanks to goals from Hurt and Marc Priestnal.

Hurt makes his first Team of the Week appearance of the season alongside Michael Hooper (DHSOB), Tony Corlett (Ramsey) and Daniel Bell (Peel).

Corlett also earns his first TotW stripes of the campaign after impressing in the northerners’ 2-1 win over Marown.

Hooper was one of Old Boys’ star turns as they overcame St John’s 2-0 at Mullen-e-Cloie to move back into the Canada Life Premier League’s top four.

Completing this week’s midfield maestros is Bell. The Peel skipper was one of the driving forces behind his side’s 6-1 triumph at Garey Mooar.

Two of the side’s three-man defence are making their first TotW appearance of the 2015-16 campaign. Ramsey youngster Adam Dempsey helped his side to secure their first home win of the season.

The 2-1 victoy over Marown at Ballacloan lifted John Roberts and Martin Torr’s team out of the bottom two on goal difference.

Old Boys’ Karl Clark racks up his fourth TotW call-up of the season since his summer move from St Mary’s, the Blackberry Lane outfit keeping its first clean sheet of the campaign against St John’s.

St George’s Jack McVey completes the backline after he shone in the unfamiliar position of centre-back against Laxey.

Claiming the coveted number one jersey is RYCOB’s Andy Ball who produced several good stops as his team narrowly lost to St Mary’s.

Refereeing honours go to David Murphy for the first time this season after he impressed with the whistle during Union Mills v Peel.
