A new musical comedy written and produced by Trish Fargher is coming to Peel’s Centenary Centre.

NunFactor 2, the second show from Little Sisters Productions, takes to the stage from tonight (Thursday) to Saturday.

Trish explained: ‘NunFactor 1 was performed back in 2010 and afterwards, I had a lot of requests to write another.

‘It is the first time it will have been performed and is a one-off, so there are only three chances to see the show.’

NunFactor 2 sees the Little Sisters of Perpetual Help take a trip to Europe to attend International Nun Camp and decide to visit a convent in France that is hosting an international talent competition.

Intent on enjoying an evening of music they find things take quite an unexpected turn.

Will the Sisters save the day? Will the Monsignor keep everything in order?

And will they discover whatever happened to Mother Superior? All will be revealed.

Trish said: ‘The show is full of silliness, laughter and music that everyone will recognise.

‘We can promise some unique and entertaining performances.’

As well as Trish, the cast features Liz Dixon, Rachel Wild, Laura Corkhill, Angela Wells, Julia Bratty, Kayleigh Parkinson, Gary Corkhill, Mike Bonner, Lorcan O’Mahoney, Simon Fletcher and Neil Callin.

The band comprises Karen Corkhill, James Davies and Mark Burrows, while behind the scenes are stage manager Lucy Cain stage manager, Cathy Fargher, Vicki McCausland and Jo Curphy.

Trish said: ‘We are really looking forward to working at the Peel Centenary Centre again. It’s a great venue and the staff there are so helpful and supportive.’

Proceeds of the production will be divided between the Centenary Centre and TUSC Uganda, a charity that provides transport for sick children and pregnant women from the villages around Jinja, Uganda, to clinics and hospitals.

The charity also provides basic health education in the villages.

The show starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £12 and can be bought online at www.centenarycentre.com or at Celtic Gold, Peel; Shakti Man, Ramsey; Thompson Travel, Port Erin; Peter Norris Music, Douglas.

Trish thanked Lloyds International, Shoprite, the Isle of Man Steam Packet and Zurich International for their support.
