A vintage fashion fair has been held at Braddan Church hall and hailed a success by organisers.
The fair celebrates quality vintage clothing and accessories from retailers and enthusiasts based on the island.
Just some of the vintage items on sale were chocolates, cupcakes, haberdashery, personalised milk bottles, records, crockery, china, and clothes, shoes and accessories.
The event attracted hundreds of visitors on Saturday and was attended by mayoress Sarah Hackman.
Fashion designers and vintage fashion fans Billee Saade and Calum Harvey first ran the event three years ago and this year’s fair saw a dozen collectors selling their items.
Billee said: ‘It was another successful event.
‘We had all ages attending and people have been messaging to say how much they enjoyed the event.
‘We had a few hundred visitors browsing through on the day.
‘Lots of bargains were snapped up and there were many true collectables for the die hard vintage fans.
‘The record stall was really popular and attracted a lot of customers.
‘The pop-up tea room had exquisite cup cakes in a variety of flavours such as rose water, lemon and ginger and delicious carrot and orange. That proved really popular too.
‘The mayoress even made a few purchases.’
She added: ‘The haberdashery stall appealed to the Manx sewing enthusiasts and the popular craft shop ‘Sweet Ginger’ brought along some happy shoppers.
‘Crossroads carers done well too, their charity stall attracted a lot of shoppers.
‘As usual we had many happy shoppers and stall holders by the end of the day.
‘It’s always a fun day of music, dressing up, dancing, cupcakes and lots of laughter.
‘It was a well organised vintage fair not to be missed. The next event will be at the end of November.’
The fairs are held to celebrate and encourage vintage enthusiasts and fans of eco-fashion and acts as a vehicle to bring together collectors of vintage/antique fashion in the island.
