The Isle of Man Rally is due to take place in Castletown on September 18 and residents are reminded to remove their cars from the course in good time.
Commissioners’ chairman Alwyn Collister said: ‘People go on holiday and forget to take their cars off the course – we are having to do it at the last minute.’
Roads are closed from 6.15pm to 10.30pm on the course which follows the promenade, Douglas Street, the harbour and square, Farrant’s Way and Arbory Road.
Organisers also asked that livestock are properly fenced in and that spectators stand in a safe area.
