JOHN McGuinness pulled out all the stops to secure his 19th Isle of Man TT victory in the four-lap Superstock race this evening.
And the Morecambe Missile was delighted with the win - his second of this year’s festival completing a Monday double for Padgetts Racing following Bruce Anstey’s success in the Supersport 1 event this afternoon.

McGuinness was pushed hard by Ryan Farquhar in the early stages but got his nose in front of the Northern Irishman at the end of lap one and never looked likely to relinquish the lead.
Farquhar meanwhile was eventually beaten into third place by compatriot Michael Dunlop, who produced a massive effort on the third and fourth laps to claw back chunks of time and beat off the challenge of Anstey and Guy Martin.
Superstock winner in 2011, Dunlop had to be content with the runners-up spot this time round, finishing almost 8 seconds adrift of McGuinness, while Farquhuar was a further 5s down on Dunlop.
Anstey claimed fourth, Martin was fifth and James Hillier sixth.
Tipped by some pundits to challenge for a podium place in this race, William Dunlop was forced to retire in the pits at the end of the second lap.
