The jury at the murder trial of Castletown man Ian Anderson has heard evidence from forensic experts.

Mr Anderson, 46, is accused of killing 60-year-old Neil Roberts from Ballabeg at 40 Queen Street on December 1, 2013.

Today (Friday), Detective Constable Andrew Haddock, who was the crime scene manager at Queen Street, and UK forensic expert Sonia Marshall gave evidence.

DC Haddock said that when he entered the living room Mr Roberts was lying on the floor fully clothed, having clearly sustained a head injury.

An ambulance crew had attended and certified Mr Roberts as dead.

Photos of the crime scene were shown to the jury.

The court heard that closing arguments could be heard on April 8 and 9 with the jury going out to deliberate their verdict on April 10.

Mr Anderson denies murder and is remanded in custody.
