The Manx Bat Group are hosting a bat box making event in Ramsey on Sunday.
Taking place at the Ramsey Garden Centre from 1.30pm, representatives of the group will help the public build their own boxes and offer advice on where to site them to encourage local bats to roost.
The group is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a series of public events through the year, including five bat walks in different parts of the island. The first will take place at dawn in Silverdale glen on Sunday, May 24.
On Wednesday, April 1, Lisa Worledge from UK charity the Bat Conservation Trust will give an overview of the trust’s research and projects .
