Peter Kennaugh enjoyed an excellent few days in the saddle last week, helping team-mate Chris Froome to win the Vuelta a Andalucia Ruta Ciclista Del Sol in Spain.
The Manxman was in fine form throughout the five-day race in southern Spain producing several heroic rides for Team Sky, finishing just four seconds behind Froome in the time trial on the opening day and coming to the fore during the Hazallanas climb on the queen stage.
Such were his efforts that, as well as helping Froome claim the general classification victory, Kennaugh finished sixth overall.
Fellow Manxman Mark Christian was also in action at the weekend, forming part of the Great Britain team at the Track World Cup in Paris.
On a frustrating weekend for Team GB - its worst in 14 years at the Track Worlds - Christian teamed up with Owain Doull in the Madison.
The duo made a strong start to the race and took a lap on the field to lead the contest. However, with 45 laps of the 200 remaining, Christian and Doull lost their lap and, with two points on the board, dropped to sixth before eventually falling to ninth by the end of the race.
Christian was also 17th in the men’s points race
