SMP Accounting & Tax is sponsoring an upcoming social event organised by the JCC IOM (Junior Chamber of Commerce Isle of Man).

The wine tasting challenge, at the Salt Bar & Kitchen in Douglas, will be an opportunity for guests to meet in an informal setting, as well as a chance to sample some fine wines.

During the event, on Wednesday, (February 25), guests will be invited to form teams and then taste a selection of eight wines.

The challenge will be to identify the grape, country of origin and recommended restaurant selling price for each.

The fun contest is in two halves, white wines and red wines, so teams which struggle identifying the first four samples will have a chance to pick up more points in round two.

SMP accounting and tax director Justin Scott, said: ‘The JCC is great forum for members of the island business community to come together and discuss issues of mutual interest.

‘The value of a social event such as the wine tasting challenge is that it provides the perfect relaxed setting for people to chat informally, making and renewing connections with other business people. SMP Accounting and Tax is delighted to be sponsoring what should be a great fun event, and pleased to be supporting the JCC.’

Kate Parrish, chairman of the JCC, said: ‘I’m really looking forward to this event. We’re very grateful that SMP Accounting and Tax have sponsored this event and I’m sure that everyone attending will enjoy making new contacts and re-connecting with old friends.’
