Former world racing car champion Damon Hill will be visiting the Isle of Man this week.
He will be speaking at a Sporting and Dining Club event in place of Johnny Herbert, also a former racing car driver, at the Palace Hotel in Douglas on Thursday evening.
Organiser John Wannenburgh said: ‘Johnny underwent an unscheduled minor operation, which has prevented him from travelling to the Isle of Man. However, the club confirms that Damon Hill OBE, will now be guest speaker.
‘Everything else on the evening remains the same, and guests will have an opportunity to listen to, and meet Damon after dinner.’
Hill, who claimed the F1 world title in 1996, is the only son of a world champion (Graham Hill) to become champion himself.
He will speak of his time in F1 partnering Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna and dicing with Michael Schumacher to take the title.
