The Division Two title race could take another twist this weekend when two of the top three go head-to-head.
The game in question takes place at the Memorial Playing Fields where second-placed Marown host the side one place and one point behind below them - Douglas Athletic. The latter will be brimming with confidence after they recorded arguably one of the biggest results in their history last time out by defeating league leaders RYCOB.
That result has effectively blow open the title race once against and leaves Youthie five points clear of Marown but crucially having played a game more.
Therefore, this is a must-win contest for both teams on Saturday and a tense game could be in store.
Leaders Youthie will be expected to return to winning ways when they host Pulrose United, but the visitors will also be full of confidence having thumped Malew 6-0 last Saturday.
With Douglas Royal enjoying a week off, Colby could break back into the top four should they get the better of Douglas and District at Station Fields.
Should they slip up, Castletown will be waiting in the wings to close the gap but face a tricky test of their own when they travel to Onchan.
Malew and Foxdale were both on the receiving end of big defeats to Pulrose Utd in their previous matches and go head-to-head at Clagh Vane, while Braddan will be looking to build on their fine 1-1 draw with Colby when they take on near-neighbours Governor’s Athletic
